This study examines how green knowledge-oriented leadership (GKOL) influences employee green championing behavior (GCB) in LEED-certified garment organizations in Bangladesh. Based on data collected from 430 supervisory-level employees, the findings show that GKOL significantly and positively influences employees’ green championing behavior. The study also finds that green person-organization fit (GPOF) mediates this relationship, indicating that employees who perceive a strong alignment between their personal values and their organization’s environmental values are more likely to support and promote green practices. The study highlights the importance of environmentally oriented leadership and organizational fit in strengthening employees’ contributions to sustainability.
