    Abstract
The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer limited to improving business operations and achieving greater efficiency. With the recent release of GPT-5, information and learning resources have become easier to access and synthesize, significantly reducing the time required for research by students and educators alike. It is now common to see students at all academic levels using AI to learn new languages, develop personalized study routines, and complete academic assignments. Consequently, the role of AI in education has become a widely discussed topic among scholars. This literature review synthesizes findings from studies published in academic databases, including Google Scholar, Springer Nature, Emerald, and IEEE Xplore, to address the primary research question: *How effective is AI as a personalized tutor?* The study examines existing research without focusing on any specific subject area or educational level, aiming to evaluate the effectiveness of AI as a personal educator and learning assistant across diverse educational contexts. In addition, it explores the ethical implications of AI-assisted learning and considers whether AI-enabled educational tools should complement or replace traditional teaching methods.
