Algorithms are pervasive in today's digital world, including the field of marketing. This paper investigates how algorithmic marketing on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and similar platforms shapes consumer buying decisions. Drawing on multidisciplinary evidence, the study highlights how artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies have transformed content delivery through dynamic personalization that influences consumer behavior. The analysis reveals that algorithmic marketing systems not only predict consumers' future actions but also reinforce behavioral patterns to increase user engagement, thereby subtly guiding purchasing decisions in ways that benefit marketers. By leveraging predictive analytics, organizations can develop highly targeted marketing campaigns that enhance strategic outcomes. However, the growing reliance on opaque algorithms raises significant concerns regarding consumer autonomy, ethical data use, digital transparency, and potential risks to consumer protection. The review concludes by identifying key areas for future research, including the long-term psychological effects of algorithmic targeting and the need for robust regulatory frameworks to ensure the responsible and ethical use of AI in marketing.en_US
