This study examines the implementation of AI-driven personalization in Bangladesh’s Ready-Made Garment (RMG) sector, focusing on the industry’s readiness for adoption. It explores how personalization can enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve competitiveness, thereby fostering sustainable economic development. Using a qualitative approach, the research includes semi-structured interviews with 15 RMG professionals from four RMG establishments across various levels of the value chain, including factory managers, HR officers, and IT leaders. Thematic analysis reveals that AI readiness in the RMG sector remains limited and is still at an early stage, although it holds significant potential for future transformation. The industry demonstrates initial signs of readiness but lacks strategic frameworks necessary for successful integration. This research contributes to the limited body of literature on digital transformation in developing economies and provides practical recommendations for industry leaders and policymakers. It highlights key factors influencing the adoption of AI-driven personalization and identifies essential elements required for successful AI implementation.en_US
