Truck Management System
Abstract
The company ‘GIM- Digital Truck’ is providing one of the most efficient Digital Freight Network in Bangladesh through its online platforms. Truck management system is used mainly by the users who need a truck for transporting goods, renting etc. from the system. The main objective of this project is to provide a nice experience to customers while renting trucks and provide an easier way to maintain and process the system. In the existing system, when a customer hires a truck, the admin has to call a partner or truck owner individually and manually to rent their truck which is time consuming. However, we have decided to add a new feature to the partner app that, when a trip has been created the partner can see all the trip list and bid on them as their expected amount. As a result the best bidded amount will be accepted and the trip will be started automatically. This service provides a nice experience to partner while renting trucks and provides an easier way to maintain and process the system. So this project will try to address and fix these issues. This report attempts to summarize that experience and provide a useful overview of what has been achieved. This report contains an introduction to the project, project background, goals, scope of the project, and the organization I worked for and presents a literature review reviewing similar products and how my undergraduate studies helped me complete this project. I have covered project management, project financing and methodology. For the main project, the work description, six-factor analysis, big picture, feasibility analysis, problem analysis, impacts and limitations, activity diagram, inputs, outputs and more has been covered by me. Besides, technical problem analysis sustainability, project social and environmental impact, and ethics and handling of ethical issues. I also added the problems we faced during the project and how we solved them.
