Designing and Developing Interactive Forum for Loss and Damage Program

Abstract

This paper considers several instances that arose in the designing and execution of the web design and development of "Loss and Damage Forum" webpage. This paper considers several issues that arose during the process of designing and implementing this website as well as the data used and the methodology used during creating the website. This paper also entails languages used during the development. One of the major drawbacks during the process was to implementation of an interactive map that shows all the loss and damage actors around the world and news related to the loss and damage program. The map is supposed to be created using a well-known technology called ArcGIS. The forum was designed grounded on available data, provided by the loss and damage team and other design operation tools. The real-life situations in this website are the news related to loss and damage as well as the events. The Gantt chart is created using CPM system which also helped in estimating the time frame. Excel spreadsheet was also used during the process of making the Gantt chart. The report contains some screenshots of the loss and damage forum webpage. All the data used in this report are genuine and full proof.
