dc.description.abstract | One of the main components of natural emotion for every normal person is anger. Both suppressing and venting of resentments create unhealthy relationship in the workplace. A better alternative for controlling anger is to harness it rather than minimizing it completely. The purpose of this study is to find out what causes workplace aggression and its consequences as well as why is it better to divulge constructively instead of concealing it. This study involves semi-structured interviews with 35 participants of different levels of organization from within five different selected sectors of Bangladesh. Analysis of the data suggests several themes within the categories of causes and consequences of anger episodes. Thus this study helps the managers to gain new insights for reducing incidents of anger experiences as well as contributing to wards the development of better coping skills to turn problematic situations into progressive solutions. In other words, it is better toe be aggressively than being progressively aggressive. | en_US |
