dc.description.abstract | Counterfeit certificates and diplomas are a common issue. Blockchain technology offers a potential solution through its decentralized ledger system, which uses cryptographic techniques and incentives to verify and store transactions in blocks that are added to the public blockchain. This secure and transparent method of storing data makes it ideal for Industry 4.0 and beyond as it is difficult for information to be stolen or for corrupt institutions to sell unauthenticated certificates. In this research paper, we compare and analyze existing two different methods of certification issuance and management which is BCert, and University of Zurich Blockchain. We also discuss the differences in algorithms for hashing and how we can improve the existing code for each method. Our aim is to thoroughly examine these approaches and contribute to the field of certification through our analysis and conclusions. | en_US |
