A WORKING REPORT ON THE COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT OF QATAR AIRWAYS

Abstract

This report is submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the internship program BBA 499A of Bachelor of Business Administration. I chose Qatar Airways for my internship program. I was assigned in the commercial department of head office Qatar Airways, Dhaka. My organization supervisor was Mr. Mohammed Tariqul Islam, HR coordinator. I prepared a working report on the commercial department of Qatar Airways which was assigned by the organizational supervisor and it contains work done from September to November 2008. My report is approved by my university supervisor was Mr. Chowdhury Rajkin Mohsin, Lecturer in Finance, Independent university, Bangladesh (IUB) and also guided me to prepare this working report. This working report will give an overview about airline industry, its product and services. It will brief us about its commercial department, its operations, reservation process and secretarial responsibilities. I have also described the job requirements, the duties I have performed my experience at the work and identified few obstacles. Writing this report has been hard but in the process of writing I feel I have learned a lot about this industry. I have gathered primary information direct from my work, discussions with my team and organization members and secondary information are from web sites, books, news papers and ads.
