In an increasingly interconnected digital landscape, the security of organizations' information systems has become paramount. Penetration testing, a proactive and strategic approach to assessing and enhancing cybersecurity, plays a pivotal role in safeguarding against evolving threats. This abstract delves into the essential aspects of penetration testing, shedding light on its significance, methodologies, and the evolving challenges it seeks to address. Penetration testing, often referred to as ethical hacking, is a systematic process of simulating real-world cyberattacks on an organization's infrastructure, applications, and networks. The primary objective is to identify vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them, ultimately fortifying the organization's defense mechanisms. The internship experience at FLUX IT provided an opportunity to work on the penetration testing in real life scenario. When I was offered an internship , I was only the penetration tester. Most Of my knowledge comes from solving CTF.I had to find vulnerabilities within a Web Application and exploit it , if possible compromise the machine that is running the Web Application. If any vulnerability is discovered , i will inform the developer team about that bug and it’s severity. Then developer will whether they will fix it or not.en_US
